And if your onward plans include a private yacht charter in Komodo with Komodo Luxury, our parent brand within Juara Holding Group, our transfer desk aligns your pickup with the vessel’s boarding time.

About Komodo Airport and the terminal
Komodo Airport (LBJ) is a compact, single-terminal domestic airport in West Manggarai, Flores. Check-in and baggage are on the ground level; a modest departure lounge sits above. Airlines serving LBJ include Lion Air, Citilink, Wings Air, and Garuda Indonesia, with most flights routing through Bali (DPS), Jakarta (CGK), or Surabaya (SUB).
The airside area has cafes, a small duty-free counter, and seating near the gates. A single baggage carousel serves all arrivals — the process from touchdown to car park is typically 20–35 minutes for a single flight. When multiple aircraft land together, queues form quickly, making a pre-arranged meet-and-assist worthwhile.
Getting from Komodo Airport into Labuan Bajo town
The drive from LBJ to the Labuan Bajo waterfront takes 10–15 minutes. Transport options at the terminal include pre-booked private transfers, zone-tariff airport taxis, ojek (motorbike taxis) for solo travellers with minimal luggage, and occasional hotel shuttles. Car and scooter rentals are also available. Ride-hailing apps have limited driver availability and are not reliable for tight connections.
For guests continuing to a liveaboard or phinisi yacht, the harbour is about 4 km from the terminal. Share your boat name and departure time when booking and we coordinate the timing directly.
Airport facilities and services
The arrivals hall has an ATM (BRI/BNI), SIM card kiosks (Telkomsel and XL Axiata — bring your passport), and a tourism information desk. Telkomsel gives the best coverage in Labuan Bajo and on the water around Komodo National Park. Airside, several outlets serve Indonesian staples, snacks, and coffee.
There is no dedicated VIP lounge; our fast-track arrival service provides priority handling and a private waiting arrangement. Left-luggage storage is unavailable at the terminal — some town hotels and tour operators offer paid day-use facilities.
Arrival tips for a smooth LBJ experience
Book onward transport before you land. Taxi queues form fast when multiple flights arrive together, and pricing can be inconsistent. A pre-booked transfer with a named driver and fixed price means you walk straight to your sign. If arriving on a Visa on Arrival (IDR 500,000 / ~USD 35), factor an extra 10–20 minutes on busy days; an e-VoA applied online before departure bypasses the physical payment queue entirely.
Bags typically appear 15–25 minutes after touchdown on LBJ’s single carousel. Oversized items (dive gear, surfboards) are handled at a separate counter to the left of the main belt. Label everything clearly; porters are available in the hall.
